Below are answers to common questions that we hear from our users and subscribers. You can also find information about our courses, subscriptions, and billing, and submit questions to us through our Peghead Nation Support page.
What do I get with my subscription to a Course?
When you subscribe to a Course, you get access to all the online lessons currently on the Course’s home page. Lessons consist of streaming video lessons and in many cases downloadable sheet music or tab as well as MP3s. In many courses, there will be new lessons uploaded every month, and older lessons will remain online. As long as you are a member of the course you will have access to all the Course’s lessons. If you cancel your membership, you will not have access to the lessons. The videos are not downloadable, but the sheet music/tab and MP3s are.
How do I know if I'm choosing the right course for me?
There are a few ways for you to get a good idea about the level of a given course, the instructor's style, and what you can expect for future lessons.

I have a subscription to a Peghead Nation String School course. Can I add one or more courses?
Absolutely. You can add as many courses as you’d like, and after your first course, each one is half the price! So if you’re taking Advanced Flatpicking Guitar and you want to try your hand at Beginning Banjo, you’ll pay just $10 per month (or $100 per year) for the Beginning Banjo course. And you can add as many courses as you’d like.
There are two easy ways to add courses.
From each Course page or Sample Lesson page, just click the “Start Course” button at the top of the page. You’ll be asked to verify the subscription term (monthly or yearly) and your credit card. Once you do that, your course will be added to the others in your account.
And if you decide you want access to all of the Peghead Nation courses, you can change your current subscription to an All Access subscription following the directions below.
Can I change my current course to a different one?
Yes, you can. You are able to change courses two times per month per active course that you are enrolled in. To change courses, go to your account profile page and click the “Change Course” button underneath the display of your existing course(s). From there, you’ll be able to select a different course. Your changes take effect immediately.
When you change from one course to another with the same subscription cycle (monthly or yearly), you won’t be billed until your original billing date. For example, if your subscription is billed to your credit card on the first of the month and you change from Beginning Guitar to Fingerstyle Guitar on the 15th of the month, you’ll still be billed on September 1st, but you’ll be billed for Fingerstyle Guitar.
How does billing work?
Billing for your course happens when you initially sign up for your course(s) and then happens automatically every 30 days for a monthly subscription or every 365 days for an annual subscription. Subscriptions are on an auto-renew basis and you can cancel at any time. Once you cancel (see below for instructions), the auto-renew billing is turned off, and your access to your course(s) will be turned off the day before your scheduled billing date.
If the credit card on file fails for any of your payments, we'll alert you via email and with a notice on the site when you next log in. You'll have time to update your billing details before we suspend access to your course.
How do I cancel my course?
Go to your account profile page and click “Cancel Subscription” link for the course you'd like to cancel. Your cancellation will take place the day before your next auto-renewal date is scheduled.
When are you adding more lessons to my course?
We’ll be adding at lessons to many courses every month on Peghead Nation. Look for the new lessons, some of which will have multiple parts, to be posted on the first of the month. If you’re enrolled in a course, you’ll receive an email telling you that a new course has been uploaded.
I have a question or request for my Peghead Nation instructor. How can I get in touch?
You can send us an email at instructors@pegheadnation.com and we’ll forward it to the instructor. And most instructors have websites (with contact info) listed on their Instructor page.
I have a great idea for a course, instructor, lesson, or story for Peghead Nation. Who can I tell?
Send us an email at info@pegheadnation.com. We look forward to getting your feedback on any aspect of the site. We are in the process of developing new courses, so we’ll be very interested to hear what you, as a subscriber, would like to see on Peghead Nation. We are also very interested in hearing what kinds of lessons you’d like to see from your instructor. We are recording lessons on an ongoing basis, so we should be able to respond fairly quickly to song requests, etc.
Where can I change my email address or password?
You can access your account details on your My Account page. You can always access this page from the My Account button in the upper right of the website. From there, you can edit your email address, password, credit card on file. You can also change, add, or cancel courses from that page.
I’m having trouble logging in or getting access to my lessons. What do I do?
