Todd Clinesmith is an Oregon-based luthier who specializes in resonator, steel, and Hawaiian-style guitars (clinesmithinstruments.com). I got this guitar in 2008, and I love it for its warm tone and great sustain. It's a koa instrument with an open body design and soundposts around the resonator, as well as a baffle in the upper bout area. It’s outfitted with a Beard Legend cone (beardguitars.com) and a Schoonover (schoonoverresophonicguitars.com) modular spider assembly, as well as a Fishman Nashville Series pickup that I use in conjunction with a Fishman Jerry Douglas Aura pedal (fishman.com).
