Chris Luquette is the guitarist in the Grammy-nominated band Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, and the multi-instrumentalist routinely plays gigs under his own name as well. He has just released his first solo album, called The Way I View the World, a collection of original tunes and songs, as well as covers of some of Chris’s favorite traditional and modern songs.

Chris was on tour in California on his album-release day, performing as a trio with Maddie Witler (Lonely Heartstring Band) on mandolin, and jazz and bluegrass bassist Max Johnson. They stopped by the Peghead Nation studio in between gigs to play a few songs from Chris’s debut album, including this smokin’ version of the album's lead-off track, “Union Valley.”
