Roots artists Nell Robinson and Jim Nunally launched Whippoorwill Arts as an organization focused on supporting the community of roots musicians with performance opportunities, philanthropy, fund-raising, and events.
On Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, the organization is hosting the first Whippoorwill Arts Festival of Americana Music, with two full days of live-streamed concerts and instructional workshops. Joining the lineup that also includes the Nell and Jim Band, Molly Tuttle, Snap Jackson, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, and others are Peghead Nation fiddle instructors Brittany Haas and Chad Manning. Brittany will be performing a concert on Saturday from 3:15 - 4 PM Pacific Time, and Chad will be teaching a Blues Expression Workshop on Saturday from 10:30 - 11:30 AM Pacific Time.
