Peghead Nation will be on hand for the three-day Wintergrass Music Festival, happening February 23 – 26 at the Hyatt Regency in Bellvue, Washington. Thousands of acoustic musicians and fans will take in the music-packed weekend of old-time, bluegrass, and roots performances, instructional workshops and intensives, and non-stop jamming.

Peghead Nation is sponsoring the 2017 Workshops at Wintergrass, and you can check out the lineup of over 50 great instructional sessions on everything from beginning guitar to band workshops to hosted ukulele jams. Peghead Nation banjo instructor Bill Evans will be teaching Bluegrass Banjo Jam Survival Skills and a Bluegrass Harmony Singing Crash Course during the weekend. Resident Peghead bluesman Orville Johnson will host a dobro workshop. And our new mandolin instructor John Reischman and Peghead Nation co-founder and guitar instructor Scott Nygaard will present Fretboard Journal's Vintage Instrument Workshop on Saturday, along with guitarist and songwriter Eli West.

Among the amazing lineup of official Wintergrass performers is our Advancing Mandolinist instructor Joe K. Walsh who will play with the great acoustic string band Mr. Sun on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The band also includes Darol Anger on fiddle, Ethan Jodziewicz on bass, and Grant Gordy on guitar.

Other acts performing throughout the weekend include Hot Rize, Tim O'Brien, Kruger Brothers, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, Foghorn Stringband, the Molly Tuttle Band, and many more.

Wintergrass Intensives instructors include fiddler Darol Anger, banjo ambassador Pete Wernick, flatpicking master Bryan Sutton, and many others. Watch the Wintergrass website for updates to the lineup.
