Peghead Nation's Bill Evans is at Wintergrass, where a set Thursday by Jayme Stone's Lomax Project was a highlight.

I'm up here in Bellevue, Washington, at the Wintergrass Festival, where I'll be teaching some workshops and doing a set with Peghead Nation Fiddle instructor Chad Manning.
While Thursday is an arrival day for many festival-goers and musicians, Wintergrass hit the ground running tonight with strong sets from Kathy Kallick and Laurie Lewis, Jeff Scroggins and Colorado, Billy Strings and Don Julin, Cahalen Morrison and Eli West and, the highlight for me, Jayme Stone’s Lomax Project, featuring a great band that included Brittany Haas, Eli West, and the remarkable singer Margaret Glaspy. Jaime’s recording, featuring Tim O’Brien and others, is now streaming on the Canadian Broadcasting Company website. It will be released next Tuesday, March 3. Check it out!
