Eric Skye's Thirty Day Guitar Challenge Introduction Video

Portland, Oregon-based Eric Skye has become a well-known figure on the fingerstyle guitar scene in the past several years, touring widely and playing guitar-industry events, workshops, and festivals around the country. His inventive, jazz-influenced playing also caught the attention of the Santa Cruz Guitar Co., who began building the 12-fret OO Skye model several years ago.

In early June, Skye launched the Thirty Day Guitar Challenge on his YouTube channel, posting (you guessed it) 30 videos in which he delves into some of his thoughts on playing, learning, and teaching guitar. More musings than actual lessons, Skye gives you insight into how he thinks about tone, groove, touch, and many other topics that shape his beautiful playing.

We'll post Skye's videos here on Peghead Nation, starting with the first week's videos, below. Enjoy!
